CMM Inspection of Machine Structure
Once machine structure components are processed next door in the production facility, they are brought for staging and then measured for accuracy. This is critical to machine reliability and performance. Twinhorn’s massive CMM is the only one in Taiwan of this type and is located in their metrology lab. Their commitment to quality is a testament to their long term view and only producing high quality reliable machines of exceptional value.
Geometric inspection of your machines is done to make sure each axis in relation to each other is perfectly aligned in order to deliver you the most precise machined parts.
Geometric Inspection Close-up
The inspector will check the dial gauge as the probe slides against the marble test gauge which is aligned properly with the machine. If there are any spikes in the reading he knows the machine requires further calibration and adjustment.
Ball Bar Test Setup
Each milling machine will undergo a ball bar test to verify the accuracy and precision of the machine build. Using a Renishaw system to accurately check the machine positioning accuracy will ensure long life and machining of precision parts.
